Too Big and Strong!

Terry Fox is a Canadian legend, hero and loved young man. He tried to run across Canada with an amputated leg to raise funds for cancer. He lost his leg to cancer, just above his knee, and therefore had to have an artificial limb. He started his journey by dipping his artificial leg in the Atlantic ocean and then managed to run 5400 km before he was diagnosed with cancer in his lungs. He had to stop and he died shortly after.
It is so cool that the school has chosen to name their school after Terry Fox.

There is a yearly run held in Canada called the Terry Fox run. To date, they have raised $850 million to provide funds for further research to combat cancer.
Nash and the Kelowna Owls gave 110%. However, the opposition team with three players at 6‘,5“ and taller, proved to be insurmountable in this game. It was a close game in the third quarter with them only having a six point lead. However when the final buzzer went, Semiamhoo won 83-64. Clearly, they deserve to be number one in the province, at this time.

The boys play again today around suppertime. We are driving back to Kelowna tomorrow morning.

Extras: it is warm here +7 Celsius, but there is a constant drizzle and rain. Not used to this damp climate but the air is very fresh and soft.
