Rubbish weather today

Out of some fresh air in a break between showers. Tonight the rain is hammering on the windows and the wind is rushing along past the house, sounds very unpleasant.
The hedges has been cut in the last few days, all the offcuts lying on the verge and in the road. This time of year the hedges look really battered, a rotating blade attached to a tractor just smashes through the branches leaving flayed edges and broken boughs. In a few months time  all this destruction will be forgotten and they will be growing like topsy, they will be covered with leaves and some flowers and looking like a proper hedge.
