Le Trumilou

A good but long day. We got up early to say goodbye to Ch who left around 6.15am to catch her flight back. I've just spoken to her - she is back in Montreal and reported that it was one of her best flights ever. R's family also left this morning and he came back to the apartment after seeing them off at around 9am. We had breakfast together and then he and Th decided to go climb things... they went up the Eiffel tower and also decided to climb the Arc de Triomphe! They got their most steps today on this trip so far, and definitely did the most climbing. Pour ma part... I mostly did laundry and J and I took the Christmas tree, Gaspard, to the tree depot in parc Sainte-Périne (see extra photo). We had to trim "him" a little to fit him into a garbage bag, so it was a bit of an ignominious end for the poor tree.

We met up for dinner with R and T at Le Trumilou, a restaurant my friend C introduced me to that we really like too. R has learned on this trip that he is a fan of duck and le Trumilou's specialty is a delicious duck with prunes. It did not disappoint! We finished our enormous galette when we got back and R got the second fève.
