"Please take our photograph because..........

...........this is the last time we will ever be together."

This has to be the most unusual request I've had to take a photo. We were invited to Pat and Bob's house today to meet Bob's twin brother, Sid, from Australia. The twins' big brother, Colin, was there too. He is the one in the middle.

Colin was 2 yrs 1 month, and his sister was 1, when the twins were born. It was during the war and times were very hard. Their poor mother.

Sid has been in Australia for 47 years and he says this is his last trip to the UK. Colin, after many years of travelling widely, has given up his passport.

So here they are, smiling for a bitter sweet photo.

This morning I was at a long "wash up" meeting for the walking festival, which has been a huge success. As always, there are lots of things to learn for the future and there are changes ahead.

PS I nearly called the blip "When shall we three meet again......" but decided against it!
