Downy Woodpecker

A male Downy Woodpecker (Dryobates pubescens) made an appearance at the peanut suit ball bird feeder, and I was able to photograph him through the window. These little woodpeckers visit the feeders regularly, but they rarely stay long enough for me to get an image. A hawk has been hanging around the area lately, and that is causing the birds to be extra skittish.
