one day in France

Drunk hyacinth!

This hyacinth came up with a lovely flower spike, which then grew too tall and keeled over, so I put it outside. I thought it might be too warm indoors, but anyway another spike then came up! Not as good as the first but the bees have loved it and at one point I counted ten on it!
We are having the most awful weather today. It has rained non stop, and everywhere is muddy. We managed to walk the dogs first thing and get them dried off, and now the wood burner is lit and they are curled up asleep.
We sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to grandson no 3, and since then Mr F has been working on the eulogy he is giving at his aunt’s funeral on Tuesday. I’m not sure what I’ll be doing but I’m having a day off from the washing mountain!
