BEAUTIFUL REMINDERS THAT SPRING IS ON THE WAY!

We had a great service at Church this morning when Maureen Hider, the sister of Jackie Harris, the wife of John, who used to be our Minister, spoke to us and shared this verse - one that is great to remember at the beginning of a New Year.  

Maureen said that sometimes we can get bogged down with things and feel we are walking in the wrong direction, so it is good to be reminded that God is always the same, can be trusted and we can have confidence that He will never let us down and will always walk with us, even if we are walking against the crowd.

I realise that some reading this won’t be Christians, but we believe that this is true and try to live our lives trusting in God, in what might seem to be hopeless situations in this world today, but we know that He always keeps His promises.  Maureen also said that we affirm our faith by “living it out minute by minute and day by day”, and that is what Mr. HCB and I try to do.  We hope that our lives and how we live and respond to those around us, show that we have faith and trust in a great God, who is our strength in our everyday life and especially in times of struggle and believe me, we still have those.  Christians aren’t exempt from the difficulties and traumas in life, but we know we have a God who never leaves us to cope on our own.

It’s not always easy living a Christian life, especially when you leave the Church building and don’t have people of a like mind around you and often we can be ridiculed for even believing in God and for the things we do, but that hasn’t changed what we believe and who we believe in.  

These beautiful tulips were in the foyer and you know how I love tulips - they were drooping over, but I still thought they were lovely, so thought you could enjoy them too.
