Alien Parsnips

You know that bit in Alien when the thingy burst out of John Hurt... well I think I may have just dug some up from our growing area.

Apparently they are much better left in the ground until a frost.  Imagine how bad these must have been if this is the improved version.

But all is not lost.  Apparently they are not up to culinary standard, so I have been given the go ahead to turn them in to wine.
