Up the creek with a paddle

..... actually it's not a creek but the Ripon Canal.
We passed this man on his paddle board about a mile further up the canal in Ripon heading the other way. He had probably travelled the length of the canal which is only 2.3 miles long, and back again. I suspect he will have got out and carried his board past the three locks.
As soon as we sat down by the bridge for our sandwiches the rain started, but that is typical British weather!
