A Second Attempt

to capture a photo of a Christmas cactus flower, and this time it's rather more successful. The first attempt was on 1st January.

I had more light this time and this is a different flower in a different position. I love how the pistil and stamens are so clear.

I sat on a chair to steady myself holding my arms close by my sides.

We passed a pleasant afternoon with Gill and Geoffrey. Gill had cooked a light lunch of pea and vegetable soup followed by salmon in cranberry sauce with rosemary. We retrieved the skin from the fish to feed to Basil. He was very hungry.

Geoffrey had three photobooks to show us of their cruise holidays in 2022.
