There be Monsters
Late start due to another vaccine/red wine mediated poor night’s sleep. Some painting (inside metalwork on shutters - which involves standing on sills and leaning precariously to reach the tops given the low false ceilings we put in to save heating the top bits of rooms).
Our esteemed President was interviewed by a team of neurodiverse journalists, and put up rather a good showing - TallGirl and I enjoyed it anyway. I particularly liked the impressions one of the journalists did of previous Presidents they have interviewed.
Then a simple lunch of cake (turns out that I made too much cake yesterday and - especially now we are one person down (see next para) - we will be mostly eating cake until February) and a hunt in the office for Mr B’s last vaccination receipt - as his previous course of vaccinations are logged on a temporary health number and the pharmacist needs a patient number from the certificate to register the jab she gave him on Friday.
And then off to the airport to deliver TallGirl back to uni, well, to the plane anyway. She will be back at the end of March for a week though, inconveniently, I will be in Greece for most of that time. Home via the garden centre, to purchase some new green friends to soften the blow of TallGirl going. And a cut price mushroom growing kit for Mr B, to soften the blow of the number of plants I bring home with me every time I leave the house.
The last of the advent cheese for dinner (with a fabulous pear liqueur to match the 24th December Roquefort) and some crochet in front of various telly.
