Feeding frenzy
Very little left in the fridge, and we decided that rather than doing another internet order, we'd actually go to the shop. It was something of a novelty - the first time we've done a 'big' supermarket shop like that since the beginning of the first lockdown. We'd forgotten just how long it takes to drive there and back (20 miles each way on country roads) and actually do the shop! A detour to see the sea on the way home.
Two contenders for today's Blip. A view of the flooded Aln estuary from the road between Alnmouth (extra) and Boulmer, and the feeding frenzy. Hundreds of gulls moving back and forth along a short section of the shoreline, where huge amounts of seaweed were washing up on to the beach with the high tide.
