Finally it Snowed …
… last night so I went up the Grand Chamossaire to see how the bouquetin were faring. For the youngest members of the herd snow is a challenge and they follow Mum’s snow channel to patches of grass that she uncovers with her horns. (A large snowy male in extras.) I came back down as the next wave of snow and wind started. Now it is snowing off and on, even at our 600m of altitude so it must be pretty bad on the Grand Chamossaire. Perhaps this is winter starting in the Alps. The cats are sleeping, sure weather forecasters!
