Reading chair

This morning I had to wake both Thomas and chloe at 7.30 to get up for school. This very rarely happens! 
The rain just about held off until after the school run, but then came down in force. This put a stop to mine and Archie's planned walk round etherow with Kate and ollie. Instead we met in marple for a coffee... this caused 2 problems: firstly, that the cafes in marple are very small and we had 2 buggys, and secondly ollie is almost 6 months old and wants to be on the move constantly so sitting still on his mummy's knee didn't go down well! 
We did brave a gap in the rain to have a quick 40minute stroll along the canal past the locks and back, timed just right we missed the next downpour. 
Chloe and Thomas both had a good first day back at school. This evening we put chloe to bed at 7pm, in the hopes she would be asleep before Thomas went to bed at 7.30. Thomas sat in the reading chair using the new lamp for the half an hour inbetween. Fingers crossed this bedtime arrangement worked well and they both went to sleep with no fuss.
