Spate

Went through to Stockbridge to deposit bags full of clothing at the charity shops. I always look down at the WoL from the bus stop in Hamilton Place in case I see a dipper (I saw one once, on the rocks under the bridge) - which of course is not going to happen with the river in spate. Thought I spied a couple of catkins on the trees, though.
