Yes ... there are other trees at Buttermere!

Braved the weather and took a walk round Buttermere today - and we were really lucky. Raining when we left the house, rained when we were driving home, but actually stayed dry the whole way round! Pretty blustery, but fabulous to be out and dry.

Close to the "Buttermere birch" they've been felling and trimming some of the other trees, leaving this one almost isolated, (though I may have to cut that stump back a little more, as I had to reduce the height of it in PhotoShop to prevent it touching the far shore).

Shot from a very low angle, to keep the curved right branch arcing over the top of Fleetwith Pike. 0.6 Grad to try to control the sky and keep some detail in the shadows, quite happy with the result - will try next time with a big stopper to isolate the tree more.
