Cardrona Hotel

A big day today started with photographing the sunrise from our motel unit and what a glorious sunrise it was. After breakfast we were off heading into the wild blue yonder up past the black stump and over the Crown Range the highest sealed road in New Zealand to Arrowtown and Queenstown, lots of photo stops along the way. The colours in Arrowtown were all beautiful golds and reds and looked even better when the sun come out this afternoon. A quick stop into the lolly shop where I got my Dutch liqurice and MrsPuff got her english sweets. On the way home went back over the Crown range and stopped at Cardrona and shot some images of the Hotel in the dark. This my pick for tonight,we went iside for dinner very nice too Bangers and Mash for me and Blue Cod for MrsPuff,inside there was a nice open fire throwing warmth into the old rustic pub with its heartwood floors, rough plastered walls and Jonny Cash singing in the background. What a day 12 hours of photogarphy and 182 images and 2 maybe 3 for the bin.
