No Kingfisher

I keep looking but no luck today.

Conversations with other passing walkers. Binoculars and in one case camera make an easy starting point. I swapped Whooper Swan photos with one man…. He had got them taking off from the water while mine were airborne.  Then a schooldays discussion with someone even older than me, first about seeing Redwing and then about the cross-country run around Mossy Lea in his days as a Grammar School boy.  I must continue this conversation when I see him next time, I have a suspicion that he was a Teacher but not one that I can put a name to at the moment. We were interrupted by a UU Land Rover passing and he set off to continue his walk
