The afternoon visit

Today the finall day and last finishing touch in renovating the basement , making it waterproof. For years the cellar walls were wet and crumbling. So i told the landlord allready years ago. Last year they took the decision to let it renovate. Its a costly one but there is also a long term of guarantee.
Theres lots of problems here with humidity in Bruges especially in my street. In ancient times it was a river.
Annyway i decided to leave the house from early morning and made a trip to Gent where i visited Eva and her friend Michael . Eva is a daughter of friends whom i know allready long time.
Took the bike on the train had a nice coffee and small bread somewhere in Gent. It was nice talking to Eva and her friend Michael whom i haven t seen for months. Early evening i went home , a bit of food  shopping and finally home.
They did a splendid job in the basement and for now it has to dry and harden for a bout 28 days. Quality of the house has now also improved.
If one neglects , the walls will collect the humidity and not healthy at last to live in.
