More Malcolm

Horrible grey day today - the rain didn’t stop until mid afternoon and my mood matched the weather.  I put on some upbeat music which helped but was tempted to cry off lunch (friend’s 60th Birthday).  However I gave myself a talking to,  showered and got ready and met the girls at the restaurant.  Emotional time but friends understand and I felt better for going.  

No.1 was having carpet fitted so was looking forward to her bedroom being finished and I will look forward to seeing it tomorrow.  Hopefully the bed will go back together ok and she won’t be too exhausted with the upheaval.

OH and No.2 drove up to Manchester as their team was playing Manchester United in the Caribou Cup.  No.2 was excited to see Old Trafford and sent me a picture of their dinner including that Northern Speciality - chips and gravy!  

I lit the fire but it kept going out so made do with a blanket, did some sewing and watched a few episodes of The Detectorists - funny, easy programme which made me laugh.

One more day ticked off.
