Broadwayl Bridge

The Broadway Bridge is a rail-type bascule bridge across the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon.  Construction started on the bridge in 1911 and it opened in 1913.  Today in 2023 we drove across it on our way home from purchasing a new dishwasher.  The last two power outages seem to have killed our 9 year old one.  Our kitchen remodel was during the beginning of Covid lockdown and new appliances were difficult to get.  We saw nothing wrong with the dishwasher and refrigerator we had, so they were reused.  We have been washing dishes by hand since it went out, until husband was safe to go out around people so we could select the new one.   I do hope this streak of problems ends soon though...
