Rainbow Beach and Carlo Sand Blow

In the heart of Rainbow beach lies Carlo Sand Blow. Literally a wind blow of different shades of sands, hence the Rainbow beach name (also with an aboriginal story of the rainbow serpent). The sand blow was named by Captain Cook himself, after one of his deckhands named Carlo.

We walked up with a group from our hostel where we spent the afternoon sand-boarding and boomerang throwing in true Aussie style.
