Central To The Equation

A lack of snowfall over recent days, coupled with freeze/thaw cycles resulting from unseasonably warm days (read less cold), have led to little details emerging from the lake ice. I feel I could have featured any one of these as my post, but together they seem to add up to more than their sum.

I was unsure about four images at first. Three seemed to make more sense along with the title; then there would have been a central image. And I couldn't decide on their order, perhaps the two more circular on a diagonal? But as it is, I like having the two leaves in that arrangement.
