Red hot
That doesn’t describe today’s weather, although neither was it cold. Overcast, warm and humid.
Bean and I went to town to distribute raspberries. On the way - as is our wont - we had a walk in Enfield along this red-hot-poker-lined lane. Kniphofia.
Once in town and having completed the berry mission my plan was to have a walk on Cape Wanbrow, but dense sea mist laden with water resulted in a long lunch stop in a cafe instead… with a meat pie and a passing friend.
When I emerged the rain had gone and the Cape was clear. It was wonderful up there, if a bit cool breezy in the southerly which had sprung up.
Home to distribute cabbages, make coleslaw, yoghurt and bake the sourdough.
It’s good to be back at full throttle again. A good day.
