2023 Monday — Garland

This photo is displaying clean garland. I’ll explain in a minute. Once this garland is placed in the plastic storage tub, that will finalize all the Christmas decorations being put away for the next 9 or so months.

Those four strands of shiny garland have been used this past season outside on our front porch handrails and draped amongst the pumpkins that lined the stairs to our front door. So to avoid putting them away with any outside bugs and dust on them, I placed them in our bathroom shower and gave them a good thorough rinsing.

Honest, I had a shower full of garland. It looked crazy, but now they are clean and completely dry. So this is their last display, their encore, as the holiday season has now concluded.

Regarding the weather, rain has poured all day starting before midnight last night. The community just south of us, Morro Bay, the entire community has lost electricity. Stores closed and temporary shelter facilities have been established for those who need help. Flooding has been a serious problem today throughout California and especially the Central Coast. Thankfully Cayucos did not have any flooding.
