Bus Pass outing

Forecast was for 100% rain and proved correct for once.  So instead of a walk the Bus Pass Walkers did culture.  2 buses to Halifax alighting at Dean Clough Mills.  First thing we spotted was the Engine Room Cafe, so of course we had to call in for coffees/hot chocolate.  Very nice, and lovely staff. We then went to look around the galleries.  Friendly reception staff who explained what was in each floor. Some interesting pieces, and I particularly liked one artist's work which had water and reflections as the main themes. In the Lego gallery there is a huge model of the mill complex as shown in Corinthian's blip:- https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3059547346627986041#
The model was too large to fit into one photo and had amazing detail.  Back to the cafe for lunch and then extra coffees as we waited for the bus home.  It was running late and we would have missed the connecting bus in Cullingworth or had a long wait, so we continued on to Keighley and caught the bus home from there.  An interesting day :-)
