Sweetcorn field

For a long time this field appeared to have nothing growing in it and then 'suddenly' it was full of 6ft tall sweetcorn plants. Sadly I missed the harvesting of them because I would have enjoyed seeing how it was done..
I haven't grown them in the garden for years but I think I might try them again this year.
Like all gardeners I am itching to get going for the new season but I must learn to be patient, I did get my tin of seed packets out the other day and was chuffed that one said they could be planted in February - most were April or even May!
