The First

A miserable, wet day with lots of work and no walk. 

This primrose has opened in our front garden a few days ago. It's the first flower of the year for us, but quite a few plants are already showing signs of spring.

No wonder, as we're having the warmest January on record so far, with temperatures that would be normal in April.
