RIP Peerie Alto

A lovely calm, frosty and sunny morning.  Clouded over in the late afternoon, with showers this evening.

Up early, feeling great to get back to work, set off early. Stopped at some traffic lights, bang, a car crashed into the rear of my car.  Thankfully an ambulance was just behind, and a second not far away.  Three cars involved in the crash, but no serious injuries, but they took me to the hospital to check a nasty bump to my head.  Peerie Brian picked me up, and took me home this afternoon.  An afternoon talking with insurance companies, which was worse.  Mam, Laura and Elise popped by to check on me at teatime.  A quiet night ahead.

I was waiting in front of another car at the lights, but with the low morning winter sun, visibility was poor.  I saw the van in my rear view mirror, but had no time to react and took the full force, knocking into the car in front and spun around. A few minor injuries, just thankful no one was hurt in the incident.  The driver was extremely remorseful and apologetic, but these things happen, no of us in a wooden box and we can replace metal, not humans. I'll miss my peerie Suzuki Alto, she's done me proud over the past 6½ years. Taken on the A970 in between Fladdabister and Cunningsburgh.
