Potholes everywhere

This is one of my pet hates (of which I have many, I know). Joanne does it even more because she knows it winds me up.

I just don't understand why she digs a hole in the middle of the butter, surely it makes life harder when there is no more butter in the hole and you have to start working on the narrow outer wall.
