A favourite corner

I couldn’t resist snapping this shot of Bertie, curled up in the far end of the settee with his head on the cushion that says, “The dog and its housekeeping staff live here”. (This was a jokey present from friends but how true it is!)

I spent a most enjoyable and informative morning in a friend’s garden with a professional gardener who was giving three of us a practical lesson on pruning apple trees. We were so fortunate that it stayed dry and the sun actually shone on us. I’m now looking forward to a dry half hour to put what I’ve learnt into practice on our own apple trees.
