Fungus and Snowdrop

Remember the logs we burnt as a garden feature? They are now getting covered in Bench, or shelf, fungus. I read up on it and it is a sign of wood that is in big trouble. Well, this wood certainly is, its been cut into logs, burned with a blowtorch, and cemented into the ground. I don't think the fungus could have found wood in more trouble than that. It does not grow on healthy trees.
The other one is our first snowdrop that we spotted in the garden today, although Marlane saw it yesterday. I'm always a bit behind.
