Mainland

Out on the bike in the wind and rain for the morning - was great. The psychological benefit of being right amongst it as soon as you step out of the door of your house cannot be overstated.

Our friends arrived on the ferry from the mainland  at lunchtime. The weather took a turn for the worse, no worries - we spent a perfectly fine couple of hours in the pub catching up with beer.
