Row-chow
Jess was having a row-chow this afternoon, an activity described perfectly by a word that Martin was unsure was just a family word or a real word. (It's a real Scottish word). It's the rolling around playfulness and exuberance accompanied by snuffling noises that Jess regularly indulges in. (For the English, the word 'row' is pronounced the same as the word for argument and not what you do in a boat).
My sister Sarah, who looked after Jess for a few days after Christmas, was slightly alarmed by this strange behaviour and I realise now what she had been trying to describe.
We love a spaniel row-chow.
