Waltham Abbey Wassailing

It has been raining for most of the day and I struggled to motivate myself to attend this event without my darling Ollie dog for company. 

There were floods to negotiate on the way but miraculously the rain held off. I'm a great believer in upholding traditions and it was lovely to see the locals getting into making plenty of noise to drive the bad spirits out of the heritage apple orchard in the abbey grounds.
