former Norwegian ferry 'UTNE' serving on Hardanger Fjord by Norled was bought by CMAL in 2021 to plug a gap in Calmac services total cost £11m (purchase plus upgrade at Leith) ...now operating on crossings from Oban to Mull ... criticised by users as too slow and too small...CMAL have ordered four new ferries to be built in Turkey to boost Calmac's ageing fleet.
