Spasibo!
Despite several hours spent in a horizontal position yesterday, I've felt weak all day but in good spirits. I started off by going to Glasgow for a secret mission. As it's secret, I can't tell you about it but if the cunning plan works out, I should be able to tell you sometime in the New Year.
Returned to a very sunny and bright Edinburgh and had a meeting this afternoon with one of our Ministers. On the way to the Parliament I spied these two lovely ladies. When I first spotted them they both had their cameras out, pointed at Salisbury Crags. It looked like such a classic tourist shot but I wasn't quick enough. I saw them a few minutes later and screwed up my courage to ask for a photo. Turns out they are from Russia and spoke little English (albeit more than my few words of Russian) so we didn't have a conversation but I would have liked to have heard their views of our fair city.
Eventually made it home - hurrah! Turns out my union is on strike tomorrow so I plan to use the day to do as little as possible to kick this lurgy.
I took a shot from the train. I really like it but thought about Grace's comment yesterday that I have a favourite kind of photo - ie; one involving a blue sky and the sea. No doubt she's correct. I do like that kind of shot but I'm trying in my own little way to do a few things that don't come easily. I'm reassured by a wonderful photographer on here that I should 'keep going' so today's blip is a little step in a new direction.
