Starting to decay

Oh dear, look, even before all the flowers have opened, the ones that were open first have started to shrivel and die. You can see how the pollen on the ends of the stamens has all disappeared (well done, bees) and the petals are starting to curl up (look at the one on the right of the group, which I think was the very first one to open). So we're never going to get them open all at once. Shame - it would have looked stunning.
