Night fell quickly  at Guiseley as dark clouds gathered and unleashed a fierce downpour on the players, just as the second half was getting underway.

Northern Premier League leaders South Shields were visiting, along with their good away following.  It was a well contested game in front of 953 spectators, and a penalty from Guiseley 15 minutes from the end was enough to win the game 1-0.  

Guiseley’s improved form has brought them back up to the edge of the play-off places.
