Uncle Ken’s Clock

We had visitors over New Year so I decided to wind the clock...........alas it wasn’t happy.
Probably pre Covid when it last ran and it was in need of a bit of care.
I ordered some clock oil from Cousins and this morning cleaned the pallets and the rubbing faces on the escapement and it almost restarted on its own.
I applied some oil to the primary pivots and after half an hour wiped most of it off.
It is still going after three hours and has a very crisp and satisfying tick with an identical tock.
BTW I think I used 0.1 of a ml and had to buy 20ml of oil, so I have enough left for 199 clocks.....
