Windswept!

Temperatures have fallen, and of course, the Barrens ponds have frozen up again. Don't try to walk on them, though, as the ice is just surface ice; it doesn't go down that deep yet, and you are likely to take an unexpected (and quite chilly) DIP!

There were tiny snow flurries falling all around me, like angels dancing on the heads of pins, and they just coated the surface of this old beaver pond. And then the wind caught them. I liked the way it looked, so wild and windswept and wintry. I could almost hear Heathcliff calling Catherine's name.
