A sign

On one of the trees on a path we’ve not taken before. Neither J nor I could make out what it says but line two seems to say “born here”…..! This is strange bearing in mind it’s National Trust Woodland. It appears to be a fairly old sign judging by its condition. Perhaps the more visually capable can enlighten us.
