The Finger, fashioned from bronze, points skyward from the highest point in an attempt to evoke thoughts of an omnipresent overview.  Whether that be a religious god, an earth life force, or the centre of the universe around which everything is expanding, is up to the viewer.  Rule nothing out, respect humans and our surroundings, be at one with the cosmos.
