Eye clinic

My appointment was for 10:15, and we're warned not to 'present' ourselves more than 10 minutes early. There was a queue waiting for registration, which is rather unusual, and it was slow to clear. I was at the eye clinic for an orthoptics assessment, which meant sitting in a separate waiting area outside the orthoptist's door. Only two seats, which were occupied, so I had to stand leaning against the wall until one of them became free.

I waited and wait and waited … It was 12:30 by the time I left. I passed some of the time playing sudoku. Thank goodness for sudoku.

The rest of the day was uneventful.
