MM 469 - Light and Dark
Surprised to see a dusting of snow when waking up this morning - then a later snow flurry whilst setting of to go to the funeral of the father of one of the ladies who travelled - held at Nab Wood Crematorium - attended with the other ladies who travelled and two Bus Pass Walkers who also know A and family
E sang in choirs and many music groups - including Gilbert and Sullivan Societies - and at short notice played Cap’n Andy in the village Music Group production of Showboat - had the pleasure of playing his stage wife - during the service a medley of his singing was played - he really had a wonderful voice
Partook of refreshments at Bankfield Hotel afterwards - took great delight seeing a montage of slides capturing many moments of his life - with more of his singing playing in the background - splendid final touch was the offer for the guests to select and take home flowers from the wreath - as we say in Yorkshire was a right good send off
