After 33 years in the same port, we were forced to move Malaika to a nearby marina. It is moored next to another sloop named Nakupenda which is wonderful. We named our boat Malaika, which means Angel, after the song by Myriam Makeba because it connects to a periond of our lives spent in Africa. The words of the song go... "Malaika.....nakupenda Malaika" Nakupenda means I love you in Swahili.
