West from the Hydro.

This is taken from the garden of the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath. I don’t normally stop here because I can’t afford the coffee let alone anything else on the menu but it was peaceful and deserted as I drove past this evening (and I was blipless).
It affords a magnificent view over Megalong Valley, in fact straight over rustycrapp’s property but today it’s obscured by the blue haze commonly seen around the upper mountains. For those who don’t know already, this is why the region is called the Blue Mountains - when light is refracted through tiny droplets of eucalyptus oil combined with water vapour, it creates a soft, light blue hazy appearance.
