Old friends

Today I went to visit my dear friend Maxine.
Months always pass by between the times that we see each other but that's never an issue when we finally catch up.
Prior to today (I could be wrong but...) I think it could be a year since we last saw each other. Lots has happened in our lives & we are very different people but we still get on so well.
She has completely redecorated her house, which I am pretty jealous of, since mine is in a constant state of "progress".
Ferguson delighted in being with his old acquaintances, Quaid & Roman. I wonder whether it was a novelty of being with fellow boys rather than his usual girls.
I had a lovely afternoon that I think we both really enjoyed.
Alexander went to Hull for a friends' birthday, & I'm sure despite his earlier reservations, he's having a good time with his old friends too.
