I don't suppose these railings around the priory will ever get replaced. They have become a sort of slightly cloistered monument to the war. And even if you wanted to you probably couldn't get the proper wrought iron nowadays anyway - and you'd certainly struggle to find someone with the skills and knowledge to work with it. Instead they'd be replaced with that horrible and rapidly-rusting cheap soulless rolled mild steel crap held together with jubilee clips and over-long galvanised bolts.
No, best left as they are.
