Don't stop thinking about tomorrow...
Alan has had a more settled day. Thank goodness.
Physio has been to see him a few times and he's now getting regular nebulisers that are loosening everything and he managed to get rid of a lot of gunk this afternoon.
David came home at lunch time and went to bed for a few hours. He didn't get much sleep last night. We had a proper, home cooked dinner for the first time in ages then made our way back to the hospital.
Ally was on all day with Alan and she'd given him a bed bath, a wet shave (no razor burn to add to his discomfort) brushed his hair and put on his own pjs and he looked so comfortable. Of course the diazepam has helped him relax.
Ally said that the Consultant had asked for an ultrasound of Alan's heart this afternoon and she'd gone along with him for that (he was in his wheelchair) This is a new thing and we're not really sure why it was requested or what the outcome was but thought it best to wait to speak to the Consultant in the morning.
Alan was sound asleep and breathing quietly when we left to come home. I think we'll all get a better sleep tonight!
Thanks again for all your wonderful support. It means a lot x
